About Gagat Glass

Bringing Armenia's mountains to life

Mount Ararat is more than a mountain - it's a moment. The instant you catch its peaks rising over the horizon, something settles in you: awe, beauty, belonging. It stays with you long after you've left. We are Armenians, at home and across the diaspora, who know that feeling well - and we built Gagat Glass to hold onto it.

Why mountains, and what "Gagat" means

Gagat [գագաթ - "summit"] is the name we give to the peaks that have watched over Armenians for generations. We chose mountains because they endure. They don't speak loudly; they're simply always there - a quiet symbol of endurance, depth, and home. That felt like the right foundation for a brand built on emotion rather than explanation: Armenia-inspired, but never loud or over-symbolic.

From one peak to three

We began with Ararat - its twin peaks carved into glass, revealed as you pour. Since then we've extended across Armenia's defining mountains: Khustup, the guardian of Syunik, and Aragats, the crown of the highlands. Each glass carries its mountain's silhouette in true 3D relief, hidden when empty and brought to life the moment a spirit catches its ridges.

Made by hand

Gagat Glass is an Armenian-founded glassware brand. Every glass is crafted by hand from premium high-borosilicate glass by skilled artisans — clear, durable, and made to last. Our designs are born from Armenia's mountains and its story, and our ambition is to deepen our roots there over time.

Founded by Hajk-Aram Bagradjans, who grew up far from Armenia's mountains and built Gagat to bring them closer - to his own table, and to Armenians everywhere.

A connection you can hold

Diaspora identity is often abstract - stories, photographs, inherited feelings. An object you live with changes that. When the mountain rises in your glass at a dinner, a toast, or a quiet evening at home, the connection stops being an idea and becomes something you can hold, share, and pass on.

Our invitation

This is our tribute to Armenia's mountains - and an invitation to keep their beauty and meaning alive, one pour at a time.
